It's camping season! Summer is upon us finally and what better way to celebrate the new season than to pack up your car with a tent, sleeping bags, fishing rods, the cooler and of course jerky! Originally opened in 2004 The Jerky Factory has provided the community with delicious flavors and types of jerky and other munchies. In 2016 The Jerky Factory experienced new ownership when Donna Wiggins from Marmot Hill Gardens took over. Donna has been self employed most of her life and has always had a great passion for supplying the best foods to her friends, family and customers.

The Jerky Factory is a full kitchen shop offering lunch on the go for those busy folks or those looking to enjoy the tastes of homemade cuisine. open seven days a week you can pick up some tasty preserves such as jellies, pickles and sauces or browse the assortment of other local merchants featured in the store.

Why is it called the Jerky Factory? Fourteen flavors of jerky all made in house is why! Offering several flavors of beef jerky along with 2 flavors of turkey and 1 flavor of salmon jerky, you will definitely find something everyone in the family will enjoy. Gluten free options are also available making it the perfect place for grabbing a snack on the way out of town or when headed to work. One of the best parts of the store is the ready to go freezer meals. So many times there is no time to prep for company or the family after work.

The Jerky Factory offers a freezer full of different meal options that you simply have to warm up in the oven. Impress your company with the delicious homemade meals from the Jerky Factory kitchen or make your husband happy by leaving him a freezer full of meals when you leave town.

The Jerky Factory offers several different local businesses the opportunity to showcase their products. Some of these include Sweet Home Soapery, WildCraft Organic Salt Blends, Arts and Crafts by Cathy and PBA Graphics.

I am a lover of Honey and all things Honeybees so I love that I can grab local honey made in Vanderhoof from the shop. In the past year The Jerky Factory has also partnered with the Cornerstone Life Center located in the Hart to provided donations and support.
