Betulla Burning

Have you ever returned home after a trip abroad only to discover that the thing you miss the most is the food? After being to Italy in 2016, it was impossible to find anything that compared to the amazing pizza we enjoyed there. That is, until Betulla Burning opened its doors in December 2016.

Located at 1253 3rd avenue downtown Prince George, this wood fired Neapolitan pizzeria offers customers an experience different than any other North American pizza. Diners can sit down to enjoy an open kitchen style atmosphere while being entertained by the chef creating their food. Betulla Burning offers only fresh, simple ingredients and is focused on sourcing local products. Not only is the pizzeria the only one of its kind for miles, it is also one of the only restaurants in British Columbia to create and cure its own sausages. With the meat being cured and aged in house you know you are getting a top quality experience with meat curing from a few weeks to three year old aged ham directly from Spain. Enjoy wines directly from the vineyards of British Columbia and Italy while you catch up with friends.

What else makes this pizzeria so interesting? Their wood burning oven was hand crafted in Napels, Italy by a third generation oven maker. At 7000 pounds, it had to be installed into the kitchen before the walls were constructed. The oven can reach 800 degrees and cooks the pizza in only 90 seconds! That's fast food!

The dining experience is mesmerizing and aesthetically beautiful. Watch the creation of your pizza from start to finish as the dough is thrown into the air to when it is topped with unique ingredients. Soon customers will be able to enjoy their meals on the outside patio

including a vertical garden. While the restaurant currently offers lunch and supper time service, it has also recently started offering take-out service. Order online or make reservations from the comfort of your home at betullaburning.com.

If you havn't checked out this tasty new restaurant in Prince George, I suggest you do it! Lets support local while indulging in a little bit of Italy at the same time.
